Holiday Pet Portraits at the Gallery Upstairs at Harrop Restaurant

We had a blast at our Holiday Pet Portrait Photo Shoot at the beginning of December. A HUGE thank you to Suzanne and Sylvia from Woof Walking & Co for making the day a success!! A HUGE thank you goes out to Hedi of The Gallery Upstairs at Harrop Restaurant for allowing us to use the gorgeous property as our backdrop. A BIG thanks to Mutt Life for donating some doggy treat take-aways, and of course, a BIG thank you for everyone who came out, even in the less than ideal weather.

It’s that time of year once again ... the cold is in the air, and the holidays are just around the corner.
This year we will be sponsoring a Mini Holiday Photo Session captured by Chickadoo Expressions Photography & Design (yes you will also see me behind the lens) for our canine companions along side Woof Walking & Co., and Mutt Life

The holiday photo sessions will take place outdoors with a gorgeous backdrop at The Gallery Upstairs at Harrop Restaurant 345 Steeles Ave. Milton. on Sunday December 1st starting at 11:00am. Our focus is on the dogs, but if a human wants to jump in on a shot, you are welcome to. Please see the above flyer for details. Spaces are limited.
To book a space for your dog (and possibly a human or two) you can either contact dogtraining101@hotmail.com or info@chickadoo.com to reserve your spot.

Water Colour Paintings from a 2.5 Year Old Child

Yes, I am a proud mom, and wanted to share some watercolour paintings that my toddler has created. These are truly his own, done on 4"x6" watercolour paper, with real watercolour paint. He creates whatever strikes his fancy that particular day with no guidance or direction from me. I give him the materials, I leave the room (don't worry, he's still in my line of site), he sits and creates (every now and then I have to re-focus him) and then tells me when he's done. I love that he enjoys painting so much, and I hope that this joy of creating lasts throughout his life.

Dramatic Lighting - Portrait Photographer in Milton

Not really what I was originally going for with these shots ... but in the end, I liked the effect. Some dramatic husband lighting - lots of fun! And of course, black and white really is my favorite.

New Fine Art Website - Acrylic Artist in Milton

I've decided to launch a separate website for my fine art work and plan to continuously add new pieces for sale. Please visit www.acrylicanimalart.com to view the new site.

Below is one of the pieces that I have available for purchase.

Though my main subject of focus is animals, I will also be adding different subject matter, namely plant life and possibly some abstract pieces.

If you are interested in giving one of my paintings or drawings a new home, please feel free to contact me any time at juliesillustration@hotmail.com and "like" me on facebook at: juliedeansartist.

I will still be available for pet portrait commissions and am considering taking on commissions of nature and wildlife as well.
